Our Mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive and compassionate treatment to persons of all ages, Adults and Children, requiring psychiatric and or psychotherapeutic treatment. And, to serve
as a resource to those touched by mental illness
The practice was established in 1993 and involved Dr. Vijay Bhujang, James V. Eaton. LMHC, and Patt Gaume joined the practice less than a year after it's inception. My favorite story of Patt was as a women in her fifties she was climbing up the ladder to get a child off the roof. The child said he would come down because he did not want Patt to get hurt. The practice started in Satellite Beach in an office that was about 800 square feet and has grown to its current location at Wickham and Pineda. The staff has grown from those original three to other psychiatrist Dr. Mirsajadi, Dr. Ahmad, Dr. Duncan Bowen, Psychotherapist Candace Cowen, and Jean Masciale-Shoemaker. The staff itself has been together almost two decades with little turn over.
The philosophy is one of a collaboration and creativity in addressing the needs of the patient that can be met within the facility or outside the facility. Patt Gaume is the Director of Operations is instrumental in case management involving continuum of care from outpatient, to intensive outpatient, to assessment for crisis placement, or residential care. Collaboration involves case management or staffing of individual patients that present with unique needs and how best to serve those needs. Both the management and medical and clinical staff work closely together and are locally owned and managed. Those decisions regarding care are made based on what is best for the patient and are not dictated by third party payers or outside administration. The support staff headed by Barbara Mikulskis is friendly, confident, and willing to go the extra mile to assist a patient in needs involving their psychological care and for the best services for themselves and their families.
